New country manager spearheadsAPC’s business in RP
MANILA,
Philippines – 6 March 2009 – APC by Schneider Electric, a global leader in
integrated critical power and cooling services, today announced the appointment
of Pascal Bodin as country manager, spearheading further the company’s business
in the Philippines.
Formerly the Enterprise & Systems Business
Development Manager for ASEAN, Bodin will now extensively oversee
client-partner relationship to ensure the delivery of critical and
energy-efficient cooling solutions that protect systems against common causes
of downtime, including data loss and hardware damage, power problems and
temperature. This is in line with the company’s vision of making APC products available wherever data is created,
transmitted, or stored.
“I see a huge potential in the Philippine market,” he
said. “For one, we slowly witness the world recognizing the Philippines as
a cost-efficient hub for outsourced services, which are mostly
technology-based. It is now part of my task to make APC
solutions improve the manageability, availability and performance of our
customers’ systems; with the end goal of contributing to their efficiency and
work quality.”
Bodin’s leadership comes from an extensive experience in
the UPS business, with 25 years of
handling regional and global posts particularly in UPS
development and quality inspection; technical and sales support; as well as
business development.
In the Philippines, Bodin has an in-depth
understanding of the local APC
business as the Business Development Manager for ASEAN prior to his current
post, where he has developed considerable competencies and provided a wide area
of expertise in high availability power solutions.

A native of France, Bodin has been with
Schneider Electric since 1981. He is a graduate of “AFPA” ElectronicsEngineerUniversity
in France;
and from “Grenoble Ecole de Management” (Grenoble Business and ManagementUniversity).
