DELL DRIVES GROWING PHILIPPINE BUSINESSES WITH LATEST TECHNOLOGY OFFERINGS
Global Technology Company’s Solutions Perfect to Boost Local Firms’ Productivity
MAKATI CITY, Philippines, Dell, in a bid to boost Philippine businesses’ productivity through its latest technology offerings, unveiled its unique solutions as it held the Dell Storage Vision Conference recently at the Renaissance Hotel in Makati City. The Conference, which provided a comprehensive view of the latest trends and technologies in server and storage virtualization, data de-duplication, IP SAN, and thin provisioning also featured industry experts, analysts, and executives of growing Philippine firms.
“It’s a simple concept – customers want
reliable technology that just works, every time. Our consistent focus is on
delivering reliable, easy to manage, scalable technology solutions at the very
best value,” Bunyi added as he spoke to the full-packed Conference. Bunyi noted that Dell builds quality and reliability into everything that it does. Dell’s award winning line of SMB-specific products, services and solutions can be customized to meet very specific user needs, in any organization, at the very best value.
Also, Dell’s solutions are scalable. In the realities of the current economy, helping customers cut costs and streamline productivity is our number one priority. Our new portfolio removes complexity, maximizes virtualized environments and scales storage resources, at a value SMBs can afford, Bunyi said. Craig Slattery, Dell’s Director for Enterprise Platforms & Solutions Marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan, echoed the same message that companies can simplify their IT, and reduce their costs through virtualization.
By creating a single pool of data, reducing hardware sprawl, and maximizing efficiency through Dell’s efficient enterprise solutions, businesses can be more competitive, Slattery added. Today’s entrepreneurs are more tech- savvy and buy more advanced solutions. Especially for early IT adopters and fast followers, according to International Data Corporation (IDC), they view IT as an important competitive tool, a way to grow revenues and manage costs. Dell’s conversations with customers tell us the same thing. And this pool of customers is growing everywhere, especially in emerging countries. In terms of the types of servers they are buying - most of them are investing in rack mountable servers that take up less space and energy. Blade servers are also growing among medium businesses for their performance, lower acquisition and ownership costs and industry-leading energy efficiency. The need for data storage is also exploding, with a 6-fold increase in online digital data expected between 2006 – 2010, according to IDC. This phenomenon is driving significant storage needs. Because of iSCSI-based storage solutions and Dell’s industry leadership, storage is more affordable and appealing to more businesses than ever before. In fact, the EqualLogic financing promotions we ran early this year were so popular with customers that we brought them back and extended the same aggressive leasing terms to servers and Latitude laptops, Slattery noted.
